About me

I'm the Chief Technology Officer at Acquisition.com, and the founder of Mavric and Apso. My mandate at Acquisition.com is to make the company AI-first: building the platforms and systems that let founders and the portfolio companies move faster, with more clarity and less drag.

I started Mavricin 2017 and spent nine years building it from a one-person practice into a software delivery and fractional-CTO firm that gives growing companies senior technical leadership before they can justify hiring it full time. I'm now its Chairman, with the day-to-day running under our President.

In 2025 I started Apsoto fix a constraint I kept hitting: backend and infrastructure work can't keep up with how fast product moves. Apso lets a team describe what they're building and generates the backend for them, schema, APIs, infrastructure, docs, and deployment, in a fraction of the usual time. The part most AI tools miss is what happens next. The code stays clean, editable, and owned by the team, so it holds up as it grows.

Most of my work lives in that gap: how fast AI lets you build, versus whether what you built survives contact with real users. I'm based in Nashville.

This is where I write in my own voice about building with AI. No pitch and no company line. Just how I actually think about it, what I am learning across Acquisition.com, Mavric, and Apso, and what I am still figuring out.
